On January 11th, the first water pump unit seat ring and volute casing of the Dianzhong Yingshui Shigu Water Source Project in central Yunnan were successfully hoisted.

 

It is reported that the Dianzhong Yingshui Shigu Water Source Project is located in Shigu Town, Yulong County, Lijiang City. It is one of the two main projects of the Dianzhong Water Diversion Project and consists of water diversion channels, water diversion tunnels, river-crossing culverts, underground pump stations, surface switching stations, and more. The design flow rate of the pump station is 135 cubic meters per second, with a maximum net lift of 219.16 meters. A total of 12 vertical centrifugal water pump units with a capacity of 40 megawatts each will be installed, totaling 480 megawatts. Both the capacity of a single centrifugal pump and the total installed capacity of the pump station are the largest in Asia.

 

The seat ring and volute casing are the core buried components of the water pump unit, playing a guiding, pressure-bearing, and supporting role in the entire water pump unit. The seat ring of the water source pump station is a one-piece structure made of high-strength steel, while the volute casing is made of stainless steel, weighing approximately 40 tons. So far, the water source project has started construction on 104 main working faces, with all 95 tunnel working faces having completed excavation, totaling 22.62 kilometers of tunneling and 10.58 kilometers of completed lining.
