Lastly, the pressure drops at the center of the impeller as the coolant is thrown away, allowing the coolant from the radiator to be sucked into the impeller through the water inlet under the pressure difference between the water pump inlet and the center of the impeller. This ensures the continuous circulation of the coolant, thus maintaining the normal operation of the engine.
